By accessing and using ShaadiRoot ("the Platform," "we," "us," or "our"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
These terms apply to all users of the Platform, including event organizers, guests, vendors, and any other individuals who access or use our services.
2. Description of Service
ShaadiRoot is a comprehensive wedding planning platform that provides:
AI-powered wedding planning and timeline generation
Budget management and expense tracking
Event creation and management with QR code-based guest entry
Guest list management and invitation services
Vendor marketplace and booking services
Payment processing for deposits, bookings, and other services
FotoRoot: digital photo packages for event guests (purchase, download, and related payments)
Photographer and vendor earnings from FotoRoot and related withdrawal (payout) facilities
Communication tools for vendor interactions
Media upload and gallery management
3. User Accounts and Registration
3.1 Account Creation
To use certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to:
Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
Maintain and update your account information to keep it accurate
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
3.2 Account Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our services. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
4. Payments and Refunds
4.1 Payment Processing
Payments for deposits, bookings, FotoRoot purchases, and other services are processed through secure third-party payment processors (including Razorpay). You agree to:
Provide valid payment information
Authorize charges for services you request
Pay all applicable fees and taxes (including GST where applicable)
Understand that payment processing is subject to the terms of our payment providers
4.2 Refund Policy
Refund policies vary by service type:
Event Deposits: Refund eligibility is determined by the event status and cancellation terms
Vendor Bookings: Refunds are subject to vendor cancellation policies
FotoRoot (Digital Photo Purchases): Once payment is completed and content is made available for download, purchases are generally non-refundable. Refund requests may be considered in exceptional circumstances (e.g. failed delivery, technical error) at our discretion
Platform Fees: Service fees are generally non-refundable unless required by law

4.3 FotoRoot and Guest Payments
FotoRoot allows event guests to purchase digital photo packages. By making a FotoRoot purchase you agree that:
Prices displayed may be inclusive of applicable taxes (e.g. GST) where indicated
Access to downloads is subject to the package and event terms
We and the event organiser/photographer are not liable for quality or availability of content beyond what is expressly stated
4.4 Vendor and Photographer Earnings and Withdrawals
Where the Platform enables vendors or photographers to earn from services (including FotoRoot revenue share), the following terms apply to earnings and withdrawal of funds:
Earnings: Your share of revenue (e.g. from FotoRoot) is calculated according to the tier and rules applicable at the time of the transaction. We may use a tier system (e.g. Premium, Standard, Restricted) that affects the revenue share percentage. The applicable tier at the time of each transaction will be used for that transaction.
Withdrawal requests: You may request withdrawal of eligible earnings subject to: (a) a minimum withdrawal amount (as displayed on the Platform, e.g. ₹1,000), (b) a cooldown period between withdrawal requests (e.g. 15 days from the last request), and (c) providing and maintaining valid bank account details as required by us.
Processing: Approved withdrawal requests are processed within a reasonable time (e.g. 3–5 working days from our initiation of the transfer). We do not guarantee a specific credit date, which may depend on your bank.
Claims and status: Withdrawal requests ("payment claims") may be pending, approved, processing, paid, rejected, or cancelled. We reserve the right to reject or cancel a claim for valid reasons including but not limited to incorrect bank details, suspected fraud, or breach of these terms.
Changes: We may change the minimum withdrawal amount, cooldown period, tier structure, or revenue share rules on reasonable notice. Continued use of the earnings and withdrawal features after such changes constitutes acceptance.
4.5 Photographer Tier System
Where a tier system applies to photographers (e.g. for FotoRoot revenue share), tiers are determined by us based on factors such as quality, performance, upload discipline, guest satisfaction, and policy compliance. We may assign, promote, or change your tier at our discretion. Tier changes may affect the revenue share percentage for future transactions. Specific tier names, percentages, and criteria may be displayed on the Platform and are subject to change with notice.
5. User Conduct and Responsibilities
You agree not to:
Use the Platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Violate any laws, regulations, or third-party rights
Transmit any viruses, malware, or harmful code
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or other users' accounts
Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation
Impersonate any person or entity
Collect or harvest information about other users
Use automated systems to access the Platform without permission
Upload content that is offensive, defamatory, or violates others' rights
6. Event Management and QR Codes
6.1 Event Creation
When creating events on the Platform, you agree to:
Provide accurate event information
Ensure you have the right to create events for the specified dates and venues
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding events
Obtain necessary permissions and licenses for your events
6.2 QR Codes and Guest Management
QR codes generated through the Platform are for event entry validation purposes. You agree to:
Use QR codes only for legitimate event entry validation
Not share or distribute QR codes to unauthorized individuals
Ensure guest information is accurate and obtained with consent
Comply with data protection laws when managing guest information
7. Vendor Services
The Platform facilitates connections between users and vendors. Earnings and withdrawals by vendors or photographers (including from FotoRoot) are governed by Section 4.4 and related payment terms. We are not responsible for:
The quality, safety, or legality of vendor services
The accuracy of vendor information or listings
Disputes between users and vendors
Vendor performance or service delivery
All transactions and agreements between users and vendors are solely between the parties involved. We act as a platform facilitator only.
8. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the platform and software remain solely with ShaadiRoot.
The underlying software, system workflows, and platform logic of ShaadiRoot are proprietary and protected as computer software.
The Platform and its content, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, and designs, are the property of ShaadiRoot or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of content you upload to the Platform. By uploading content, you grant us a license to use, display, and distribute such content as necessary to provide our services.
9. Prohibited Activities
You are strictly prohibited from:
Using the Platform to facilitate illegal activities
Creating fraudulent events or bookings
Manipulating or gaming the Platform's systems
Reverse engineering or attempting to extract source code
Reselling or commercializing Platform access without authorization
Using the Platform to spam, harass, or harm others
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
We are not responsible for events, vendor services, or third-party actions
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShaadiRoot, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, violation of these terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Platform at our sole discretion, without notice, for:
Violation of these Terms and Conditions
Fraudulent or illegal activity
Extended periods of inactivity
At your request
Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease, and we may delete your account and data subject to our data retention policies.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated terms on the Platform and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, and shall be resolved through:
Good faith negotiation between the parties
Mediation if negotiation fails
Binding arbitration or court proceedings as applicable by law
